INTRODUCTION  

This academic project aims to broaden your knowledge and improve your analytical skills by doing a presentation about a festival or celebration of an specific religious, social or geographical group.

OBJECTIVE:  You must choose a festival that you find interesting and present it in such a way that people will find your celebration attractive and feel encouraged to attend it. It can be from any country including Mexico.

Some types of festivals include:

  • Art festivals
  • Comedy festivals
  • Film festivals
  • Fire festivals
  • Folk festivals
  • Food festivals
  • Literary festivals
  • Music festivals
  • Religious festivals
  • Science festivals
  • Storytelling festivals
  • Theatre festivals
  • Winter/Spring festivals
  • Book fairs

Make sure you choose a festival that you would like to share with your classmates.

  1. Research Paper
  1. Name of your festival.
    1. When and where it takes place
    1. Historical background of the festival
    1. Average amount of people that attends the festival (age, group, local or foreign tourism)
    1. Describe events and activities that occur during the festival
    1. Economic rainfall
    1. Average amount of people that attends de festival (age, group, local or foreign tourism)
    1. Write and editorial giving your opinion about it.
  • Final  Product
    • You will have to promote the festival in a creative and attractive way.
    • Written paper
    • Oral Presentation
    • You have to include visuals, realia, flyers, etc.
